Osaka cocktails

We spent the early part of the day on a train North to Osaka, past lovely Japanese costal vistas.

Once in Osaka we got Jennifer’s phone repaired (her arm looks set to repair itself). Thirty minutes to replace the screen with a guarantee, was pretty impressive.

We then wandered about some cute streets to find a little shrine with a moss-covered statue. The part of Osaka we are staying in is incredibly busy, but the shrine was a little oasis of quiet.

Okonomiyaki

This evening we ventured out to hunt down Japanese pancakes – okonomiyaki. We sat in front of a hot plate and watched the cooks grill yummy pancake-cum-omeletes with scallions and prawns for me and beef for Jennifer.

Then it was onwards through the crowds and rain to the Osaka Cocktail Library where we took up residence at the bar while fire and dry ice flowed and yummy cocktails were created.

I’d probably have more to say about this fabulous experience if we hadn’t had so many cocktails…

  1. Grateful you could focus such great photos of the cocktail action. Definitely good arm therapy, including raising-the-wrist physio!
